He positioned himself as a pro-Bitcoin candidate, promising to create a favourable regulatory environment for the cryptocurrency's growth and development​. Transformative Potential of Bitcoin: Trump compared Bitcoin's potential impact to that of the steel industry in the early 20th century, suggesting that Bitcoin and blockchain technology could revolutionise the financial landscape just as steel transformed various industries​. America First in Technology: Extending his "America First" policy to technology, Trump outlined his vision for the U.S. to lead in AI, space exploration, and especially cryptocurrency. He stressed the importance of embracing crypto to maintain U.S. technological leadership​. Crypto Regulations: Trump proposed establishing a Bitcoin and crypto advisory council to provide clear regulatory guidance, aiming to make the U.S. a global hub for crypto businesses and innovations. He also pledged to fire SEC Chair Gary Gensler on his first day in office, signalling a significant shift in regulatory approach​. Opposition to CBDCs: Trump expressed strong opposition to central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), advocating for the right to self-custody digital assets. He argued that CBDCs could threaten financial freedom and privacy, resonating with the Bitcoin community's values​. Trump announced that if elected, he would create a strategic bitcoin reserve in the US. “It will be the policy of my administration to keep 100 percent of all bitcoin the US government currently holds or acquires in the future … as a core of the strategic national bitcoin stockpile,” he said. Overall, Trump's speech highlighted his intent to support and promote Bitcoin, contrasting sharply with the current administration's stance on cryptocurrency​​.

Do HNWI individuals and businesses want access to Bitcoin!? Many people in the media and traditional markets will tell you that demand for Bitcoin is not in demand from the traditional financial institutions however this is simply not true. Blackrock reported that the day of the launch of the spot Bitcoin ETF saw a record $4.6bn of trading volume which was reportedly  the biggest day 1 volume for any ETF launch. The issue for many people has always been accessibility.
